Case Studies

Seaway Mall

Working closely with Seaway Mall, we developed a media relations and social media strategy based around a wide variety of public events geared towards the Mall’s focused demographic.

We also managed social media and traditional public relations strategies for Seaway Mall, which has also included celebrity partnerships, which helped to strengthen the Mall’s social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.

Using grassroots traditional public relations, celebrity partnerships with notable high profile personalities and enhanced social media strategies, we have successfully secured earned media cover totaling more than 500,000 impressions over the past two years.

These number alone totals more than double the population of the Niagara Region, which is Seaway Mall’s target geographic.

Niagara District Airport

Applying social media marketing principles, we developed a strategy to coordinate, plan and host a public open house for Niagara District’s Airport new and improved facilities, which recently underwent a 12 million dollar upgrade.

Capitalizing on the power of social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as executing a media relations strategy, the High Impact PR team was able to attract thousands of residents from around the Niagara Region to their open house.

To help generate additional buzz before the open house, outreach efforts included the development of sponsorship partnerships, which presented additional marketing opportunities.

A press conference and private ribbon cutting ceremony with dignitaries and members of the media were also organized and executed as part of the public open house.  High Impact PR was able to secure more than 10 media to cover the event, and post coverage included a front-page story and photo running in three of the area’s daily newspapers.  Pre event coverage included television, radio and newspaper as well.

Dave & Buster’s Niagara Falls

Located on the world famous street of fun in Niagara Falls, Dave & Buster’s on Clifton Hill hired us to increase sales and generate local traffic to its three-story 40,000 square foot establishment.

Looking to assist Dave & Buster’s in generating local traffic in the off-season to their establishment, our team developed a public relations, social media and events strategy that would help strengthen the restaurants brand awareness in the Niagara Region.

In all, we were able to generate more than 500,000 media impressions for Dave & Buster’s, which included newspaper, blog, radio and television coverage.

Our team also managed and executed a number of events that attracted thousands of locals to Dave & Buster’s Niagara Falls location.  Starting from the ground up, we were able to create and populate a social media presence for Dave & Buster’s and create buzz within the community.

All of these tactics together led to generated traffic and revenue for the restaurant.

DoubleTree Resort and Spa Niagara Falls

Located in the honeymoon capital of the world in the Fallsview District, DoubleTree Resort and Spa Niagara Falls hired  us to help generate awareness for its hotel through social media and public relations efforts.

We worked closely with DoubleTree’s marketing team to create a heightened online social media presence, through a number of communications tactics and highly interactive content, that focused on nostalgia, travel, dining and pop culture that appealed to the target audience.

A following of long time guests and people experiencing the property for the first time began connecting through shared discussion on the DoubleTree’s Facebook page.  Furthermore, DoubleTree’s Facebook Fan Base more than quadrupled as a result of a strategic social media campaign that incorporate radio promotions across Ontario.

The hotel also saw a marked increase in new guests staying overnight at the hotel and dining within its offerings.   This included an increase of Niagara residents visiting the hotel for its dining options as well.
